Home Energy Auditor
Our lead Home Energy Auditor, Joe Scheibelhoffer, is BPI (Building Performance Institute) trained and certified, which means he abides by the highest standards and has the highest credentials possible in handling residential energy efficiency. BPI sets the national standards and practices.
Envelope Professional
Joe is BPI certified as an Envelope Professional, which means he knows exactly how and where to insulate and air seal a home based on a “house as a system” approach.
Building Analyst Professional
Joe is BPI certified as a Building Analyst Professional, which means with the use of state-of-the-art, high-tech equipment like a blower door, thermal imaging camera combined with a ‘highly trained eye’, he can specifically determine all the places your home is losing energy, as well as what needs to be done to make your home a healthier, safer and more comfortable place to live.
Infrared Professional
Joe is InterNACHI certified in Infrared Thermal Imaging, which means he knows exactly how to use and interpret the thermal images produced by this amazing and invaluable piece of equipment.
Mold Inspection & Assessment Professional
Joe holds an ESA (Energy Solutions Association) certification in Mold Inspection & Assessment. What this means is that we can perform a complete mold inspection, determine the likely cause of the mold, determine exactly what type of mold was found through sample collection and laboratory analysis, how and where it should be remediated (removed) and, finally, the post-remediation clearance testing.
Indoor Air Quality Inspections & Testing Professional
Joe also holds an ESA certification in Indoor Air Quality Inspections & Testing. What this means is that through air sampling and other forms of testing, we can positively identify the presence of allergens, the existence of bacteria, radon, formaldehyde, lead, asbestos and carbon monoxide; all of which can have serious health effects on people with allergies, asthma, and other respiratory related conditions.
